But his voice is so weak, as he speaks from his sleep
しかし、彼の声は響かない。未だ眠ったままでは
Saying, "Why, why, why, why are we sleeping?"
そしてこう言う。「どうして、俺たちは目が覚めない？」

People are watching, people who stare
人々は見張る。自らを見つめる人々を
Waiting for something that's already there
既にそこにある何かを待ちながら
"Tomorrow I'll find it", the trumpeter screams
「明日こそ見つけてやろう。」トランペット吹きが叫ぶ
And remembers he's hungry, and drowns in his dreams
そして腹が空いているのを思い出し、夢の中に沈む
Saying, "Why, why, why, why are we sleeping?"
そしてこう言う。「どうして、俺たちは目が覚めない？」

My head is a nightclub with glasses and wine
僕の頭はナイトクラブだ。グラスとワインを用意した
The customers dancing or just making time
客は躍る。あるいは暇をつぶす
While Daevid is cursing, the customers scream ※
デイヴィッドが悪態をつく中、客は叫ぶ
Now everyone's shouting, "Get out of my dream"
遂には皆が声を張り上げる。「俺の夢から出ていけ」
Saying, "Why, why, why, why are we sleeping?"
そしてこう言う。「どうして、俺たちは目が覚めない？」
