こんなに訳すのが難しい曲はありません。曲の英語的非理性性を日本語に落とし込むのは、少なくとも僕には不可能なようです。リンクは貼りませんが、「あっし」という主語を用いて訳しているサイトがあるので是非確認してください。僕など及ぶべくもなく素晴らしい出来だから。
ところで、この曲はDavid Byrne（とBrian Eno）の作った中で一番好きな曲でもあります。これは僕の解釈（作者の意図したかもしれない意味の推測ですらなく）ですが、狂気的で管理的な余裕のない世界をその場その場凌ぎながら生きる、こんな様を「曲芸師」に比するのは最高にイカしてはいませんか？
